Some quick updates and announcements:

1.  Awards Banquet for 2011 Season will be held on June 16, 2012 at 11 am to 3 pm.  Location to be detemined however it will be in the Page Area.

2.  Membership Drive Rodeo to start the 2012 AzNJRA season will be April 7, 2012 at 10 am (MDST) at VSC, Page  Arizona.

3.  The schedule for this season will be uploaded by this weekend.  We just finalized dates and times with VSC.

4.  Notification for updates will be done through FACEBOOK and TWITTER.  If you haven't become friends on FACEBOOK and/or TWITTER please become our friends.

Be advised that the May 5th event has been cancelled and rescheduled to September 29, 2012.  See the RODEO SCHEDULE page for updated AzNJRA Rodeo Schedule.

Results and Updated standings will be posted before the end of the week.  We are updating and cleaning up our webpage.

Also, planning is in process for the 2011 AzNJRA Awards Banquet.  We are looking at hosting the awards banquet either late June 2012 or early July 2012.  The purpose for this delay in the banquet is we had some members who qualified for awards that didn't meet the full criteria which was the fund raising portion.  As an association we have extended a second chance for those who didn't meet this fund raising portion to meet this criteria and so far efforts on behalf of those members are being met.  If you have any questions regarding this, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Our next scheduled event is June 22 and 23, 2012.  Our first of two back to back events for the season.

Parents who are new to the association:
Some questions have arisen over kids competing in divisions that they do not qualify for based on age. If your child is in midget and wants to do pole bending, you have two options: 1) time only pole bending, no points, no payback $3 entry for members, or; 2) your child can move into the peewee division in that event only and compete for event points (peewee points) towards a year end award. You must pay the $10 entry fee.
The rules state that if an event is not offered in the child's division they may move up to the next division for that event only and earn points in that event (not to be counted towards their "home" division all around).

The rules also state that we allow a child to move completely out of their division if they find they want to compete in an older division, e.g. peewee contestant who wants
to compete as a junior may move to the junior division but must stay there all years. No moving back. 
We believe in allowing the child to compete to their fullest potential.
